Head of Media Services

The Library at St. Ambrose University seeks a creative and service-oriented Head of Media Services. Responsibilities include managing all aspects of the media services provided by the Library, including purchasing, maintaining, and troubleshooting media equipment; assisting faculty and students in incorporating multimedia and educational technology into the classroom; contributing to the development of online and distance education programs; assisting with the administration of the online catalog; collection development and liaison responsibilities in assigned areas; supervision of student workers. May teach Information Literacy 101 if needed. This is a full time, year-round position in a team environment and requires: a Masters of Library Science degree from an ALA-accredited library school, or other advanced degree in a related field; a commitment to a high level of service in an academic environment; a working knowledge of electronic resources, Adobe Premier and other media software; knowledge of multimedia equipment; excellent oral, written, and organizational skills; enthusiasm and a sense of humor; and the ability to thrive in an atmosphere of rapid change.
