The primary purpose of this position is to ensure all grant funding is expended according to the terms of the grant award. The individual in this position is responsible for the collection, analysis, interpretation and presentation of quantitative information. This position is part of the Research Administrative Hub for the College of Nursing and the College of Allied Health Sciences. The Grants Manager assists with post-award grant support and administration for faculty and students engaged in a broad range of research and workforce training projects. The individual in this position will assist faculty members and students with post-award administration of externally federal and foundation funded grants and contracts, as well as internal research-related accounts such as faculty startup funds, grant-contract reassignment time funds, indirect cost funds, graduate student research assistantships, and tuition remissions. The individual in this position may also assist with pre-award activities as well as internal research-related accounts. A large portion of the daily support provided by the CON-CAHS Hub is administrative and transactional in nature: fiscal, budgetary and account management, regulatory compliance and reporting, grant preparation and internal review, quality control, transactional troubleshooting, collaboration with central university grant. This diverse portfolio includes projects funded by extramural grants, faculty startup funds, institutional state funds and indirect cost accounts. The support provided is partly programmatic: strategic planning for growth in research programs and research culture, development of interdisciplinary scientific and clinical research projects, graduate research training program development, etc. The Grants Manager serves as a liaison between the Colleges of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences Research Administrative Hub, faculty members and departments, and a range of central university offices responsible for pre- and post-award grant administration including the Office of Research Administration, regulatory compliance, budgetary and fiscal management. The support provided is partly programmatic: strategic planning for growth in research programs and research culture, development of interdisciplinary scientific and clinical research projects, graduate research training program development, etc. Programmatic responsibility lies with the designated Associate Deans for Research. However, a large portion of the daily support provided by this Grants Manager is administrative and transactional in nature: fiscal, budgetary and account management, regulatory compliance and reporting, grant preparation and internal review, quality control, transactional troubleshooting, collaboration with central university grant administration offices, central budget offices and external funding.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor?s degree (writing-related, business-related, or math-related degree), or equivalent, and experience in pre- and/or post-award grant administration, and fiscal/budgetary management and oversight. Experience with/understanding of applicable state and federal laws and policies.
