Job Description Summary:

Responsible for planning, coordinating, managing and directing activities and programs of Oakland Helping Hands, LLC.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

1. Directs daily business operations and implements financial policies, accounting system and cost controls.

2. Directs implementation of improved work methods and procedures to ensure provision of high-quality services.

3. Recruits, selects, and orients new personnel and arranges for inservice education, as appropriate.

4. Prepares the annual budget for the approval of the Governing Body.

5. Reviews financial statements, operating results, and performance evaluations, on an ongoing basis.

6. Negotiates contracts and agreements for provision of services and assures enforcement of the agreements.

7. Establishes and maintains an ongoing public relations program and a marketing plan to increase community awareness of services provided, improve relations with physicians, other potential referral sources and other care providers to increase revenues and maintain quality service.

8. Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations or other applicable laws.

9. Provides leadership in the development of objectives, standards of care, policies and procedures affecting the programs of Oakland Helping Hands, LLC.

10. Implements record systems and statistical reporting systems and program documentation, planning and evaluation.

11. Prepares annual report on Oakland Helping Hands, LLC activity.

12. Collaborates with other management team members to establish personnel policies and procedures including wages, salaries and benefits and assures compliance with applicable laws.

13. Acts as liaison to the Governing Body and attends meetings as requested by the Governing Body.

Position Qualifications:

1. Has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Masters degree in business or health care preferred.

2. Has at least three to five years experience in home care management preferably in private duty operations.

3. Demonstrates an ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel.

4. Has an ability to market aggressively and deal tactfully with the community.

5. Has knowledge of corporate business management.

6. Demonstrates good communications and public relations skills
