EDP Design & Controls Lead, Assistant Vice President
Job Summary
The Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) Design & Controls team seeks an experienced Business Analyst who will focus on General Ledger Reconciliation and Adjustments design, data sourcing analysis, and data quality. You will join a high profile lean and agile team that will focus on building the firm’s next generation data services platform.
Major Responsibilities
- Understand the process of reconciling source systems daily balances from systems such as Consumer Loans, Commercial Loans, Global Capital Markets, Deposits to the General Ledger
- Create rule sets and logic for the automation of out of balance events to add adjustments to either the General Ledger or the source systems
- Collaborate with internal business and technology owners and identify opportunities to solve business needs
- Develop Features, Epics and User Stories as part of an Agile delivery team
- Prepare, plan and conduct data profiling for data exception processing
- Develop and define detailed procedures for a source system data intake and onboarding process
- Define and Implement Audit Controls for approvals of adjustments as required
- Determine and manage deployment activities between development/test and production
- Organize and manage the interface for source systems and general ledger data to a reconciliation and adjustments tool for both inbound and outbound traffic
- Additional responsibilities may include Data Quality Design and Implementation for Key Data Elements (KDEs)
- Work with partners in Chief Data Office to support Data Management Integrated Controls Framework (DMICF)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years’ experience in business analysis, processes, procedures, project management, multiple technologies, frameworks, etc. or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
- Working knowledge of banking business systems and applications
- Working knowledge and setup of GL Reconciliation tools such as Trintech, Blackline, Intellimatch, etc.
- Experience with system interfaces (file-based, web services, etc).
- Knowledge of banking department-specific processes and procedures regarding the reconciliation of source systems to the general ledger
- Solid analytical, organizational, troubleshooting and problem-solution skills
- Ability to elicit, gather and analysis data
- Solid presentation and technical and non-technical communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to establish mutually productive and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Hands-on experience in advanced SQL
- Experience developing and/or using enterprise dashboard and reporting platforms (e.g., Tableau or Business Objects, etc)
