We are seeking a highly motivated Director/Senior Director of Target Discovery & Validation to lead our efforts to identify and validate new targets and drive our growing pipeline. This critical role will set the stage for the companyâs future by leveraging our Kidney Genome Atlas⢠and human biology platform to develop novel therapeutics for kidney disease.
- Collaborate with dynamic teams to leverage genomic and experimental data to discover tractable, high-impact disease targets
- Drive identification and validation of new targets for kidney disease
- Lead a team and interface with internal and external collaborators to effectively prioritize and advance targets from discovery into lead identification
- Conceive, communicate and execute multi-disciplinary research strategies that encompass target validation, biomarker identification and early development of novel therapeutics
- PhD in a relevant discipline with at least 10 years of pharmaceutical/industry experience
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative work environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient
- Robust experience in early drug development including application of medicinal chemistry, translational biology, and pre-clinical toxicology
- Experience in leveraging genomic, transcriptomic and functional data to identify and validate targets in one or more therapeutic areas
- Demonstrated expertise in integration of target biology, drug discovery and translational research to drive target validation
