Responsibilities
The Director of the Transfer Center plans, supervises and evaluates resources and personnel to manage inpatient and outpatient census as well as regional transfers throughout the hospital and region on a 24-hour basis.
The Director of the Transfer Center will be responsible for facilitating patient flow through the facility and region efficiently and in a manner that ensures quality patient care. The Director is responsible for competent personnel management and cost efficient and effective utilization of department and hospital resources. The Director will also be responsible for promoting the necessity and importance of the efficient flow of patients through the facility and communicating the roles of all staff in this process.
The Director will oversee the practice of critical care transport nurses. The Director will also oversee patient placement at all Tower Hospitals.
The Director reports to the System Vice President for Nursing Operations, Analytics & Finance.

Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- 4 year/Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or health related field required
- Masterâs prepared strongly preferred
EXPERIENCE
- Dispatch Center Supervision Experience preferred
- Relevant Transfer Center Experience preferred
- Leadership and management experience preferred
CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
- BLS Certification
- Registered Nurse in PA required
- EMT or Paramedic PA DOH EMS Certification preferred
