ExpertVoice is looking for a Director of Digital Marketing to join our B2C Acquisition Marketing team to help lead the strategy, execution, and analysis of our paid media and member-expert growth initiatives. So let’s get down to the nitty-gritty. We don’t want to think about day one, but day 365 and beyond.
In this role, you’ll:
- Work with members of the executive team and leaders of other departments to clearly define your team’s quarterly and annual goals for expert acquisition and engagement.
- Develop the expert acquisition marketing strategies for the company, and create marketing plans and budgets to execute on those strategies.
- Lead the partner team that partners with retail and professional organizations on co-branded marketing opportunities.
- Use partner relationships (brands, retailers and independent organizations), various forms of paid media, and referral programs to grow expert acquisition.
- Develop an aggressive ROAS culture within your team to help the company cost-effectively and aggressively grow.
- Oversee acquisition campaign planning, negotiating, purchasing, execution, management, and optimization.
- Work closely with marketing leadership to develop holistic digital marketing acquisition strategy. Align goals and priorities with all business partners and address trade-offs.
- Orchestrate collaboration/integration of all digital marketing channels to ensure optimal results.
- Support strategy and collaboration for other growth initiatives like direct mail and offsite event marketing acquisition efforts.
- Socialize out weekly, monthly, quarterly insights and results to internal BUs. Highlighting the effectiveness of cross-channel campaigns and results of audience targeting in order to inform optimization.
- Share feedback and data-trends with creative and content departments to improve digital design/copy performance.
- Responsible for paid digital media and paid social strategy and execution across all relevant digital platforms, mainly focusing on Google Adwords, Bing, and FB/IG.
- Own media forecasts and budget projections for spending, acquisition, and ROI.
- Own an overarching relationships with partners/platforms/agencies from a strategic perspective.
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of successfully leading and growing B2C digital marketing organizations.
- Hands-on experience in performance/digital marketing (SEM/Display/Paid Social) and the paid media marketplace.
- Broad knowledge of digital marketing, partner marketing, paid media, branding and marketing communications.
- DSP/DMP experience using third-party data sources to tailor digital campaigns to an audience that will match ExpertVoice’s unique expert vetting process.
- Demonstrable experience designing and implementing successful marketing campaigns.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with execution.
- Strong leadership skills, including vision-setting, coaching, team building, empowerment and cross-functional leadership.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills – must be able to compile and analyze data to yield actionable insights.
- Proficient in social media, paid media ad servers and web tools
- Passion for learning and testing emerging digital technologies and advertising platforms and demonstrated experience building and leading multiple digital media campaigns simultaneously is a must.
- Exceptional planning and organizational skills, ability to lead projects and work with cross-functional teams and/or third-party partners
- Experience with digital marketing to military, law enforcement and crediting organizations (NASM, etc) a plus.
This role reports to the CMO. A successful candidate will have experience in B2C customer acquisition, performance marketing with cross-channel/integrated digital marketing and revenue generating responsibilities. Driving expert acquisition is a unique challenge. Typical interest-based or demographic targeting used in most marketing efforts will not work.
