About the Role:
The North America headquarters in beautiful Irvine California is seeking a Director, Channel & Retail. This position will be responsible to achieve the company’s vision and design for short, mid and long term strategies with a specific emphasis on the TCL “Go To Market” strategy. This new role was created to promote and sell the new TCL brand line of products.
About You:
Knowledge and Abilities
Responsible to achieve company’s vision and design for short, mid and long-term strategies, Retail and Merchandising plans focused on North America, considering Carrier driven and Channel/Open markets by aligning the strategy with regional GTM & Sales Team for product launching and support customized plans for key accounts.
Track sell out, as well as Field Force productivity, enhance the frontline soft skills & competences and track key markets and key accounts to ensure efficient execution.
Negotiate promotions with the accounts and channels from a regional perspective, when applicable; develop BTL strategies and monitor execution.
Develop account relationships with key National Retail Channels.
Build a strong relationship with customers; monitor sales activities to ensure that sales targets are met and take appropriate and agile actions to boost the sales and maximize the potential.
Keep up-to-date with the market conditions and trends in the field and support the team with new product launch strategy and information.
Analyze monthly performance based on sales target vs actual achievements.
Align with the sell-in team on the best stock level as per the potential sales of each SKU.
Provide regular market feedback to the management with regards of competition, product movement, brand position, challenges and growth opportunities.
Align with the Regional Trainer and ensure ongoing performance assessment of the BA’s and support through coaching and training plans (set by the BA supervisors to up-skill the BA’s) and create environment of growth and excellence, motivation and recognition.
Education and Qualifications
8-10 years National Retail sales and account management experience within the mobile phone industry.
Undergraduate or Graduate degree in: Marketing or Business Administration/Sales
Must be willing to travel a minimum of five times per year including inter-state and inter-national travel.
