What You’ll Do

As an Architect, you will be responsible for researching and documenting best practices and thought leadership for event-driven architectures. Your mission, if you choose to accept, is to make the lives of your fellow architects better when designing event driven applications and instantiating them on our platform.

In this role, you will:

  • Research the latest greatest event driven patterns and best practices
  • Create new and innovative patterns and best practices
  • Work with Marketing to create whitepapers, blogs and videos that educate and inspire your architect peers about event driven architecture
  • Talk with customers periodically to understand what is working for them
  • Promote Solace’s vision for Event Mesh
  • Work with other architects within the Solace CTO team to discuss how your findings impact other initiatives
  • Educate our PSG and Pre Sales teams about your findings and discoveries
  • Travel up to 25% of each month

What You Need to Get the Job Done

  • At least 10 years of software development and architecture experience working to create asynchronous event or message driven applications
  • Portfolio of work that demonstrates skill in creating applications and understanding what made your life easy and what didn’t
  • Experience in designing architectures for large enterprise organizations, communicating and getting buy-in to these initiatives from business and technical staff
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a team of Product Managers, Designers, and Developers
  • Experience presenting to coworkers and customers
  • Ability to distill and communicate results of research and demonstrate how it impacts our vision or products
  • Prioritization skills that let you work on many projects at once and meet commitments
  • Passion for learning about and working with new technologies
  • A can-do attitude!

What Will Make Us REALLY Love You

  • You have experience using AMQP, MQTT, Websockets, JMS, Kafka or other messaging products
  • You love creating event driven applications
  • You have experience using API Management Tools
  • You have experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, Google, Kubernetes and architecting/developing applications for these environments

We thank all candidates for their interest, however, only those selected to continue in the selection process will be contacted.
