Overview
Stress testing – Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) and Dodd-Frank Act Stress Test (DFAST) – is a critical risk management technique to determine the capital adequacy of Deutsche Bank’s IHC, and assess potential capital needs in time of stress. With significant senior management visibility within the Bank, the CCAR Credit lead will be responsible to manage the end-to-end stress test process for both Wholesale and retail credit risk portfolios. You will liaise with both Lines of Business and infrastructure functions and will not only have a high level view of Deutsche Bank USA’s portfolio, but also a detailed understanding of the business/risk drivers. The work involves a mix of analytics, governance, and project/process improvement work, and will include being part of other related programs e.g. CECL.

Your Role
What You’ll Do:
- You will develop and enhance existing CCAR/DFAST credit stress testing framework and procedures
- Produce in depth analysis of stress testing results and communication to key stakeholders
- Create high quality reports for Board, senior management, Regulators, and internal use on a regular basis
- Be the credit representative in all CCAR stress test governance forums
- Review and challenge existing stress models
- Lead Capital Plan production and the Credit data attestation process
How You’ll Lead:
- Liaise with Firm’s Line of Business (LOB) and other risk teams to ensure appropriateness of the representation of credit risk
- Lead the stress test governance approval process which has significant senior management attention
- Maintain relationships and communication with Audit, central CCAR team and regulators to ensure proper coordination, control environment, and timely and accurate responses are provided
Skills You’ll Need:
- Ability to conduct detailed portfolio analysis, identifying drivers of stress test results
- Proactive, problem solving and solution oriented
- Well organized, process oriented and effective in managing multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and a sensible approach to handling priorities of multiple senior stakeholders. Professionals must be comfortable to present to senior management, deal with Credit Risk Management /Business Relationship Management Regional Heads and Front Office managers regulators / other parties
Skills That Will Help You Excel:
- Sound understanding of Risk Management – various risk disciplines a plus
- Knowledge of Deutsche Bank infrastructure (Risk, Finance or Front Office COO)
- Ability to build cross-divisional as well as cross-regional relationships
- Demonstrate ability to quickly assimilate new knowledge
