Job Summary
Manage all aspects of sales and marketing efforts for the community with the
goal to grow revenue and maintain established occupancy goals. Specific core responsibilities include strategic and long-range planning, identifying appropriate advertising opportunities, collateral needs, coordination of lead generating events,community outreach to establish referral relationships and others task necessary to meet overall marketing and sales objectives to meet or exceed occupancy goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field is preferred.
3-5 years’ experience in retirement housing, hospitality or health care marketing and sales.
- Proven track record achieving sales goals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and CRM
- Must have a current Tuberculosis skin test or chest x-ray.
- Proven high degree of accuracy in all assignments
- Ability to manage time effectively, work with numerous interruptions, high degree of initiative and good judgment
- Demonstrates professional ethics; has a positive attitude, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, the ability to motivate others and work within a team environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work evenings and/or weekends to accommodate marketing and sales events, tours.
Job Relationships
- Reports to: Executive Director
- Directly responsible for the overall direction of the sales and marketing for the community.
- Design, implement, and facilitate annual marketing plan for the community with input and support from the Executive Director, corporate marketing and operations teams.
- Oversee advertising schedules and production requirements,create and or monitor external and internal communications to ensure compliance.with brand standards and FHA and ADA requirements, and social media account management.
- Lead the sales team; coach and manage sales associates.
- Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with residents, visitors, employees, supervisors, department directors, resident family members, the professional business community and vendors.
Responsibilities:

- Developing and managing the lead base
- Provide sales activity reports with documented lead status, closing needs and next steps
- Leasing of apartments
- Respond to telephone inquiries, remotely and in real time when possible.
- Conduct walk-in and scheduled tours with prospective residents or interested parties.
- Follow-up with all potential residents, referral sources or interested parties.
- Maintain the community’s Customer Relationship Management software (Yardi) accurately and timely.
- Supervise, direct, and motivate all sales team members.
- Maintains high degree of resident satisfaction through establishment of relationships between residents, department heads and staff who provide services on a daily basis.
- Support management team with resident retention and maintaining high quality of life for residents.
Outreach
- Participate in outreach events, networking meetings, trade shows and other communities’ functions.
- Becomes active in social and civic affairs within the local community.
- Represents the community and the company to governmental agencies, professional organizations, community groups and other appropriate public audiences.
Advertising
- Consistently assess print advertising needs.
- Monitor and maintain promotional item inventory.
- Manage social media accounts.
- Monitor online reputation to ensure all positive and negative comments are responded to within established time frame by the Executive Director unless otherwise directed by Executive Director, VP of Sales and Marketing, or VP of Operations.
General
- Provide sales productivity and marketing reports to Executive Director, VP of Sales and Marketing and VP of Operations weekly, and upon request.
- Monitor lead and referral source activity to confirm strategy or make recommendations for adjustments as needed.
- Development and implementation of all sales and marketing strategies and tactics for the community consistent with Cadence Senior Living’s objectives.
- Understand the community’s care regulations to ensure proper placement and education to prospects.
- Carefully manages marketing budget, provides input and accurate pricing information for ads, directories and social media advertising, event costs, association memberships, and all marketing and sales related costs.
- Monitor competitive projects and programs in the community’s local market and report updates and changes to Executive Director and corporate team on a weekly basis, or sooner if needed.
- Develops and maintains a positive image with community.
- Participates in marketing rotation.
- Adheres to all policies and procedures of Cadence Senior Living.
