Responsibilities
Seeking an experienced Supply Chain leader with a solid background in Government Subcontracting. The Aerospace Supply Chain Organization is in seeking a dynamic leader with significant experience and a solid understanding of Government Subcontracts and Procurement to serve as the Supply Chain Associate Director. This person will serve as a subject matter expert on Government Supply Chain and Subcontract Strategy and Execution. This person will initially be tasked with transforming a Supply Chain team from a General Procurement focused team to a team able to support a wide variety of Supply Chain & Subcontract requirements and vehicles for both Government and Commercial customers. Extensive knowledge of subcontracting under Federal Acquisition Regulations is required. The successful candidate will direct subcontract actions of Supply Chain staff from pre-award through closeout in accordance with Federal Regulations and The Aerospace Corporation policies and procedures.
Key Functions:
- Technical leadership and contractual competencies to form strategies to construct and execute subcontract activities utilizing various contracting types that are developed based on the need of each program.
- Ability to partner with key customers in the transformation of Supply Chain from procurement focused to a strategic team with the skillset to handle a wide variety of Supply Chain & Subcontract requirements
- Strong leader, people focused, mentor, forward thinker
- Strong negotiation and proposal skills
- Demonstrated understanding and execution of the entire procurement cycle
- Solid understanding of FAR/DFAR
- Experience with different subcontracting vehicles such as T&M, Cost Type, FFP etc.
- Vendor Sourcing Strategies
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, practices, procedures, public law, and FAR
- Ability to develop and lead initiatives for integrated project teams and program reviews to monitor project performance for successful outcomes
- Develop and manage staff skills and resources to execute all objectives
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
- 10 plus years of professional experience managing Government Subcontracts and Procurements showing progressive upward movement
- Management experience directly related to key requirements
- Experience subcontracting under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
- Experience with subcontract best practices, standards and methodologies
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of corporate staff, management, and customers
- This role may require a clearance which is issued by the US government and US citizenship is required
