Application Development Manager II, Director

Job Summary

The Finance Technology Lead is accountable for technology delivery in accordance to the Corporate Functions Technology Strategy and Roadmap to meet strategic business and operational goals. The scope of technology delivery includes resource management, portfolio planning, project planning, solution architecture, application design, and most importantly, effective execution of technology projects in order to deliver state of the art technologies to our business and technology partners within cost and time constraints.

Major Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business partners and technology partners to align, plan, design, execute, and deliver technological services and solutions within established cost and time constraints.
  • Effective execution and governance of technology delivery initiatives.
  • Assess current technologies and provide recommendations and inputs to the strategic planning process.
  • Champion and implement a data-driven process of governance, and continuous improvement, including internal frameworks, process and procedures; internal risk management; audit support; issue triage and resolution management; metrics tracking, monitoring, and reporting, to meet ever increasing scrutiny and requirements from regulators and internal audit and risk management functions
  • Drive efficiency, effectiveness, productivity, and innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • 15+ years of financial technology delivery experience. Qualified candidate will typically have at least 10 years of experience managing multiple, medium to large, cross-functional technology teams in a fast pace environment.
  • Hands-on application development experience.
  • Subject Matter Expertise in application development and delivery.
  • Subject Matter Expertise in finance and regulatory reporting solutions.
  • Strong understanding of control systems and relevant technologies and how they interact with each other.
  • Ability to analyze complex organizational and technical issues related to technology and identifies opportunities to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills to build a cohesive team of members capable of succession to more senior roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain productive business relationships with internal partners and external vendors
