Summary
The Senior Director of Information Technology provides IT vision and leadership across Healthcare Technologies Solutions (HTS). This includes strategic leadership around data analytics, business intelligence, development and support, infrastructure, security and technical services. This leader has an exemplary understanding of medical device cybersecurity environment in healthcare. The Senior Director will oversee the implementation of the business new Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) system. The Director of Informatics and Program Manager of Cybersecurity report directly to this position.
Responsibilities
- An advisor to the HTS leadership team.
- Proactively informs leaders of emerging technologies and digital trends relevant to the business needs.
- Help determine capital investment parameters, priorities and risks.
- Prepare department budgets to deliver top and bottom-line objectives in accordance with P&Ls.
- Provides strategic leadership for information system functions including: Informatics, Cybersecurity, Call Center and hardware technology (computers, phone system etc.).
- Leads team to use data analytics, data visualization and data modeling techniques and technologies to identify trends that can help clients, departments, managers and business leaders to make business decisions to modernize and improve processes in the organization.
- Build upon existing infrastructure to deliver best-in-class medical device cybersecurity program to address information security, compliance and disaster recovery to protect both clients and HTS.
- Ensures all IT solutions adhere to established quality and compliance standards as defined by senior management, clients and regulatory authorities / external mandates (i.e., HIPAA, URAC, HITECH, HITRUST, JCAHO, DNV, ISO 13485:2016).
- Integrate and leverage business partner relationships with Compass and Compass One Healthcare.
- Negotiates and/or delegates the management of IT vendor licensing and managed service contracts.
- Reports to Senior Vice President Technology, STG and maintains a dotted line reporting relationship to the HTS VP, Technical Resources Group.
Qualifications

- Proven P&L experience.
- A minimum of twelve (12) years’ experience in healthcare or service operations Information Technology.
- Strong track record of client or customer satisfaction.
- Proven ability to manage a team.
- Proven ability to develop and implement new business models in the healthcare support services markets.
- Highly advanced interpersonal (e.g., mediating, counseling, mentoring), consultative and management skills required to manage critical internal and external relationships and activities.
- Ability to hit the ground running and quickly assess improvements needed to the division
- Strong experience with vendor selection, RFP generation, and contract negotiations.
- Proven ability to work effectively in an unstructured, fast-paced and P&L driven environment.
- Experienced in successful resolution of complex problems under pressure.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Speaks and writes clearly and effectively even when relating complex information; proactively shares information within and across organization; listens actively.
- Must be able to successfully complete criminal background checks (State and Federal) and drug screenings.
- Extensive travel may be required in this position.
Education
- Must have a four-year degree in Information Technology or related field from a recognized regionally accredited (or foreign equivalent) university or college. A Master’s Degree is strongly preferred.
- Experience with EPIC and/or other EMR systems is strongly preferred.
- Must be hands-on in all facets of development, implementations and support.
Computer Skills
- Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint Outlook and SharePoint.
