Software Project Manager

Truvian Sciences is seeking a highly motivated and passionate Software Project Manager to join our team. This leader is responsible for the planning, execution, alignment, communication and budget for programs related to Truvian’s software development initiatives. The Software Project Manager will be responsible for managing our software development initiatives working under agile methodology. The individual will excel working with both internal team members and external partners by ensuring projects are run on time, within scope, and on budget.

Responsibilities

• Manage the software programs and initiatives focusing on development and commercialization Truvian’s diagnostic blood testing systems
• Develop program plans including formation of timelines with durations, dependencies, critical path, and milestones as well as distribute responsibilities to team members
• Create and effectively manage budget and resource allocation within the project team
• Conduct and encourage frequent formal and informal communication within the team and partners to ensure full engagement and efficient execution of tasks
• Work with internal staff and partners to identify urgent issues, sets priorities, measures progress, and ensures appropriate resourcing
• Identify and communicate risks and challenges early and often – use good judgment and collaborative ways to ensure solutions and timely decision making
• Effectively organize and motivate a highly skilled, cross functional team including external partners
• Demonstrate strong and clear accountability for program success
• Lead product development phase gate and design reviews
• Define, measure, and report key performance indicators, enabling project team members to measure and improve quality, efficiency and effectiveness
• Inspire and motivate the team to achieve individual and program objectives
• Facilitate daily scrums, stand-ups, and meetings to monitor project progress and resolve any issues the team may be experiencing
• Shape team behavior through excellent management via the agile method
• Remove project obstacles, develop solutions with team
• Ensure milestones are reached and deadlines are met throughout project lifecycle
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, application users, and program owners
• Document progress and communicate to upper management and stakeholders
• Take responsibility for successful product delivery
• Configure and implement jira as backlog tool

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in scientific or engineering discipline and PMP / CSM
• At least 10 years PM experience in product development in regulated industry specifically in IT / Software Development programs
• Experience leading both internal programs and programs with external partner involvement
• Familiar with FDA and CE-IVD regulated product development processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; must be organized and efficient
• Effective interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; excellent time management skills
• Able to excel in a collaborative, team-oriented, fast-paced, and evolving start up environment; able to manage competing priorities and multitask
• Superb attention to detail; produce work of exceptional quality and accuracy
• Ability to proactively identify issues and address with solutions-oriented approach
• Proven capability to be an effective Program Manager under an aggressive schedule to launch
• Expertise using Smartsheets, Jira, and Confluence
