Wag More Dogs a dog daycare, boarding and grooming facility located directly on THE SHIRLINGTON DOG PARK is seeking managers. Candidates with experience working in the pet care services industry, ideally in dog daycare, highly sought. The Shift Manager is responsible for maintaining accountability and safety for a team of up to 6 employees and a group of 50 dogs. Multitasking and maintaining organization in a busy environment is required.
COLLEGE DEGREE AND/OR PROVEN MANAGEMENT PREFERRED.
PLUS, PLUS IF YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE PET SERVICES INDUSTRY.
Responsibilities of a Shift Manager include but may not be limited to the following:
- Customer Service and Presentation -organizing the facility and keeping up the standards of cleanliness for the entire team. Offers conversations with clients regarding customer needs, dog behavior or potential issues.
- Leadership – Maintains accountability and over site of the facility and team.
- Team Management -responsible for training and development of team. Upholds accountability of team to policies and procedures.
- Administrative/Financial -maintains daycare passes, quality control boarding bookings and invoices. Maintains database and records pertaining to all daycare, boarding and grooming clients. Processes all customers through billing/client software.
- Safety/Health -Maintain safety and health procedures throughout facility. Keeps detailed records of any potential health and/or safety issues. Schedules cleaning, daily tasks and is responsible for maintaining efficiency of team during the day.
Requirements: IDEAL CANDIDATE will have had direct management experience of a team of 4 or more employees.
Must have a genuine affinity for dogs and not be afraid of any breeds or temperaments.
Must be willing to learn the basics of dog behavior, attending the playrooms will be required.
Must be proficient in typing, Microsoft, have strong verbal communication skills and the ability to develop and train teams.
Will be required to work on daycare floor as a Pack Leader for training purposes.
Must possess strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and the ability to maintain oversight.
Demonstrated proven customer service skills.
