Responsibilities:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience to meet managerial expectations.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications:
Our client has an immediate opening for a Senior Engineering Resource Manager. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
Lead and manage the Marion design engineering team to execute on programs & projects

Insure programs/projects are successfully executed in terms of cost, schedule, technical, risk and commitment

Establishes operational objectives and work plans, and delegates assignments to subordinates

Support senior management reviews objectives to determine success of operation

Will be responsible for hire/fire decisions

Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives

Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results

Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements

Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers

Exercises supervision in terms of costs, methods, and staffing

In some instances this manager may have subordinate supervisors

Has responsibility for managing people, including performance evaluations and merit recommendations

Works with senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives

Ensures that budgets, schedules and performance standards are set and attained

Provides leadership in defining technology, tool and process strategy across a technical domain

Guides the focus of all activities in a technical domain

Overall responsibility for the engineering aspects of a technical domain, to include the acquisition of critical resources

Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering efforts within areas of responsibility

Oversees the selection, development and evaluation of personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function

Ensures the appropriate handling of personnel issues within areas of responsibility including merit planning inputs, performance reviews and disciplinary actions

Provides leadership and technical/managerial content for proposals with identification of cross business unit strengths and technical shortcomings

Provides proposal teaming recommendation to shore up any shortcomings for optimum win probabilities

Leads specific process improvement activities

Determines and implements the organizational training needs in accordance with the requirements of the technical domain

Has department level budget responsibilities

Ensures that engineers are active in developing risk mitigation plans and managing risk profiles

Ensures process compliance of all engineering activity in areas of responsibility Frequently interacts with subordinate managers, senior management, executives and major customers

Regular contact with senior management in other divisions of the company

Travel may be required

Security clearance may be required

May be responsible for multiple functions, locations, products or technical abilities

Responsible for developing, modifying and executing company policies

Drives a culture solid engineering practices and continuous improvement throughout the department
