Regional MDS Director

Healthcare Organization in the Cincinnati vicinity and Northern Ohio/Cleveland area has an extraordinary opportunity for a RN Regional MDS Coordinator. The successful candidate must have a valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio, as well as extensive Long Term Care and MDS experience; multi-facility and multi- state MDS experience or Senior MDS experience preferred. RN Regional MDS Coordinator will be detail-oriented and a great team worker. He/she must be able to communicate effectively with residents, their families, and co-workers at all levels of the organization. Responsibilities of the position will include:

• Evaluate facility compliance to federal regulations and targets for utilization
• Weekly visits to facilities for intervention, audit and training
• Review resident clinical records for coverage, utilization, errors, assessments and accurate transmission
• Provide consultation and expertise of specific federal and state reimbursement systems

Job Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio required
• Prior Long Term Care experience required
• At least 5 years of experience with Federal Medicare/Medicaid and Managed Care reimbursement system management in working with the MDS and RAI process
• Senior MDS experience and/or multi-facility, multi-state MDS experience preferred
• AANAC certification highly preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and oversee functions at multiple facilities daily
