Your Role

In this key role, you will help to drive and project manage Gensler’s real estate portfolio and associated projects that support Gensler’s global business. You will be responsible for various real estate activities, initiatives and projects that span the globe. Under the direction and guidance of the Firm’s Director of Real Estate, you will play a strategic and tactical role in ensuring our offices, studios and workplaces fully and adequately support and enhance the work experiences of all our talented staff.
What You Will Do
- Support the Director of Real Estate with managing real estate projects, in particular, related to renewals and/or new lease site negotiations, space planning, construction management, office renovations and moves, all buildouts and other facility-related needs
- Assist the Director of Real Estate in driving to completion all phases and components of these projects including initiation, planning, executing and closing
- Develop project plans, requirements, and schedules. Effectively communicate with all stakeholders
- Under general direction of the Director of Real Estate, help oversee the annual review of leases and operating expense adjustments for conformance with lease provisions
- Track financial aspects of active projects and coordinate, adjust and calibrate the resources and work effort with teams to ensure the work is scheduled to complete on time and within the parameters of the agreed upon schedule
- Accurately draft all necessary correspondences and reporting requirements that provide leadership with timely project status reports, including budget and critical milestone reporting
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, set outside appointments, prepare internal reports, and generally assist and coordinate travel for the Director of Real Estate
- Work with the Director of Real Estate in preparing and presenting sophisticated real estate presentations to senior management of Gensler, including having responsibility for graphic design and visual quality of those presentations
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Real Estate or related experience required
- Minimum of 3+ years of corporate real estate project management experience focused on real estate acquisitions and divestitures, lease agreements, negotiations, relocations, buildouts, and construction management
- Strong background in InDesign and/or graphic design experience for purpose of constructing sophisticated visual presentations to senior management
- Strong project manager with experience in lease reviews and revisions, leasing process, identification and knowledge of key lease terms and contracts terminology
- Demonstrated success and track record accurately and effectively assisting in the managing of real estate projects in a fast-paced, demanding environment with aggressive goals. Must be able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously and be very detail and process oriented
- Possess strong presentation, written and oral skills in order to successfully and effectively interface with vendors, municipal authorities, Gensler leadership and staff
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Working knowledge with Adobe Creative Suite is a major plus
- Ability and willingness to travel as needed
