- We have an exciting opening for a QUALITY ASSURANCE DIRECTOR position! This position supports a complex, high volume and high-profile corporate dining account.
Location: Seattle, WA
Requirement: 5+ years experience directing QA/QC initiatives and compliance within food service operations or food processing/manufacturing environment. Background in Hospitality strongly desired.

Job Summary
- Responsible for promoting, enforcing, maintaining and verifying quality assurance and safety reporting standards in accordance with Industry and Compass standards.
- Responsible for providing QA training with associates
- Liaise with client, senior management and unit managers and chefs on all Quality Assurance issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform unit level Quality Sanitation Audits on a monthly basis.
- Provide written feedback to unit managers & chefs regarding non-compliances and observations during Quality
- Work with managers to find solutions to QA challenges and crisis
- Initiate weekly meeting the Manager and Chefs dedicated to Quality Assurance
- Participate in all BOH inspection’s
- Participate in all external Audits
- Complete corrective action plans that include preventative measures
- Work with Managers and Chefs to ensure all corrective /preventative action is effective and sustained.
- Work with Managers and Chefs on continual improvement
- Train associates on all QA policies and procedures and maintain accurate records
- Verify that the QA system is effective and make changes as necessary
- Work with managers to reduce violations and repeat violations
- Continually verify competency of associates
- Produce quarterly QA Dashboard detailing trends and compliance
- Work closely with local Health Department on changes to policy
Necessary Skills and Requirements
- Minimum of an AA degree, 4 year degree preferred. A comparable combination of training and experience may be considered.
- Certified in Serv Safe and HACCP
- Understanding of FDA Food Code and State Department of Health Regulations
- Professional communication skills with all levels of associates and clients
- 5+ years QA experience. Minimum of 1 year in a management position
- Able to train associates and managers on all Food Safety practices including Serv Safe, HACCP, Allergen, Sanitation from prepared materials
- Ability to motivate teams and promote continual improvement. Continually lead by example and promote Best Practice.Capability to effect change.
- Attention to detail and ability to help managers to find solutions
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills; professionalism
- Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Visio, Power Point and Outlook.
- Recognize QA requirements for equipment, facilities and vendors identify opportunities for improvement.
