Position Overview:

The Project Manager will be responsible for scope, schedule and budget on a project by project basis. Projects include energy audits, retro-commissioning, new construction commissioning, and energy assessments at various facilities including higher education, commercial, healthcare, industrial, and municipalities.

Essential Functions:

  • Supervise staff in the execution of the project
  • Oversee Project Engineer activities which include but are not limited to: performing energy audits, retro-commissioning, new construction commissioning, and energy assessments; performing energy use benchmarks, testing on HVAC equipment, troubleshoot equipment, conduct savings calculations, perform modeling, and presenting results to the client.
  • Perform these Project Engineer duties as needed.
  • Attend and host jobsite meetings and field surveys
  • Be responsible for technical aspects of projects
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations
  • Lead internal process improvements

The Project Manager also assists with business development activities to include the following tasks.

  • Review, analyze and develop RFP/RFI response for energy engineering services and projects
  • Identify, screen and pursue potential customers that require energy efficiency services and energy related projects
  • Scope out, develop and present proposals to

potential and existing customers

  • Cultivate new client relationships and accounts

Job Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in the energy field
  • Project management experience with proven ability to lead a team
  • Working knowledge of energy audits, project feasibility studies, strategic energy plans and developing energy projects
  • Experience in financial analysis of various energy projects
  • A willingness to learn and work in a team environment with extensive contact with clients
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and independently with little oversight
  • Must be physically able and willing to conduct site inspections and field work (climb ladders, walk on roof, etc.)

Education Requirements:

  • BS degree in engineering
  • EIT/FE certification

Preferences:
¡ On track to obtain PE

  • LEED AP, CEM, CCP, BCxP, or other technical certification
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience
