A global fortune 500 company is looking for an experienced, self-directed and highly motivated Operations Manager to take ownership of all day to day activities for the team in their corporate office in Nassau county. This includes but is not limited to validating all product changes, vendor & item setup, streamline processes and timelines as well as other initiatives that evolve around enhancing the customer experience. This role reports into the Director of Operations and requires a strong understanding of both project and data management. Focused areas of ownership will be to ensure that the team addresses and actions all emails in a timely fashion. This role works closely with product managers to ensure product information is accurate and complete.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and prioritize the workload of the team
- Collaborate with key internal teams to develop the vision for product information management
- Uses problem solving leverage knowledge of data, systems and workflows to develop data-driven solutions to business needs
- Data Workflow Support responsibilities providing guidance, coordination and hands-on assistance to data contributors across departments
- Provide day-to-day management of Merchandising Operations Specialists. Ensure the team adheres to sox compliance rules. Support and drive adherence to internal processes
- Perform data-related activities such as auditing, editing, reviewing, approving, organizing, structuring, defining and loading
- Data Standards: Create and maintain standards for website data and related processes
- Drive process alignment between cross functional team members
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistency of product information
- Partner with web team and customer service with on-site product operational issues
- Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-6pm
- Candidate must be open to doing overtime during seasonal peaks of their business year
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Has at least 5 years working in a corporate office setting with 3 of those years as a supervisor and/or manager
- Experience managing 3 employees or more
- Understanding of data management a big plus
- Strong communication skills
