Job Summary

As a General Manager, you will be directly responsible for the overall operation of multiple food service units for our client, ensuring team achievement of financial goals and targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor overall financial performance of accounts to ensure profitability
  • Manage planning, budget analysis and reporting for district
  • Ensure adherence to company’s food quality and merchandising standards, and proper management and maintenance of company resources and assets
  • Perform operational audits of district units and design improvements to optimize financial performance and operational productivity
  • Monitor and ensure development of realistic and accurate forecasts at unit level and develop realistic and accurate District forecasts
  • Lead development of overall business planning as well as selling new businesses and growing existing business
  • Manage team members in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer service
  • Lead and direct overall operations of multiple facilities in accordance with customer needs, government regulations and company policies
  • Develop team members through appropriate training, coaching and mentoring to ensure strong operational performance


Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.S. Degree in Food Services Technology/Management or related field; or A.A. Degree plus five to seven years of directly related experience preferred
  • 5+ years of retail operational foodservice management experience preferred, flexible depending upon formal degree or training
  • Current knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, marketing and presentation
  • P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is needed for this role
  • Multi-unit management experience preferred
  • Experience with cash retail operations
  • Retail marketing experience is highly desirable
  • Supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skills
  • Ability to communicate on various levels to include management, customer and associate levels
  • Knowledge of financial, budgetary, accounting and computational practices
  • ServSafe certified and HAACP knowledge
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite as well as Web-Based Applications
  • Possess a Positive Can-Do-Attitude
