Developing, implementing and monitoring strategies and plans that are aligned to the annual operating plan and STRAP (5 year plan)

  • Achieving export sales growth targets as set out in the annual operating plan
  • Overall responsibility for managing export sales in assigned international markets
  • Generating leads and efficiently keeping in regular contact with existing customers
  • Identify areas for expansion and new business growth
  • Understanding and keeping up to date with constant developments in domestic and international rural markets
  • Identifying areas for expansion and development
  • In-market customer and staff product training
  • Organize and attend trade shows/functions (dairy, livestock, water irrigation, rain harvesting and plumbing) domestically and internationally
  • Developing a targeted long-term new business strategy to foster growth in rural export
  • Create monthly forecasts on revenue/target management and end of month reports on revenue and market performance
  • Delivering against these targets to ensure revenue expectations are met
  • Working closely with the marketing department to develop bespoke campaigns for relevant prospects
  • Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
  • Action the relevant Strategic Deployment Plan (SDP) to ensure short and long term goals are realized
  • Working closely with the R&D Department on any new product developments to meet customer demands
  • Keep up to date with customer demands and preferences and link that back into strategic action plans
  • Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM or other sales management system.
  • Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets
  • Generate NPD ideas based on customer feedback
  • Propose pricing internally, designed to maximise total long term profit
