Executive Assistant to the CEO

The Founder and CEO of a DC-based boutique travel company is looking for an Executive Assistant to help manage his time and tasks related to leading Insider Expeditions as well as high-level responsibilities on the boards of other companies. Insider Expeditions creates and delivers customized travel programs and special events for our partners and clients worldwide. We specialize in working with top university and program alumni associations, performing arts centers and museums, entrepreneur organizations, young professional groups, membership institutions, yoga studios, and bands of adventurers that want to get off the beaten path and enjoy an exceptional, educational, awesomely curated travel experience. The CEO is also involved in other companies and boards which will require the Assistant’s efficient management and prioritization of sensitive information, key contacts, and limited time.

The ideal candidate will be able to perform high-level administrative activities for a variety of business pursuits across different fields, and work with confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion at all times with high-level clients and contacts.

Responsibilities:

Calendar Management; Researching and booking travel arrangements; Expense report and small budget management; Prepare internal and external communications; recording meeting minutes; preparing reports;

Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects at one time to meet deadlines, and respond quickly and efficiently to urgent tasks. Serious commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals and deadlines. Demonstrated exceptional work ethic, professional, friendly, supportive image, and a “can-do” attitude. Extremely trustworthy, handling multiple email accounts, strategic relationships, and business sensitive information at all times.

Requirements: Minimum 3-5 years in serving as an office manager or executive assistant, or related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets a must. Familiarity with website and catalog design and/or Quickbooks very helpful. Foreign language competency, especially Spanish, a plus. Bachelor’s degree required.

Compensation: $35,000–$42,000+ annually, commensurate with work experience, plus incentive bonus structure. Full-time Contract-to-Hire position.
