Primary Job Role: The Director of Training will enthusiastically educate and encourage employees to have the highest level of technical and team/people skills. The Director will be responsible for optimizing best-in-class development programs and experiences for Avadian professionals, including culture training, on-boarding, technical training, leadership programs, and individual learning avenues. The Director will use their expertise and passion to drive talent development, assess existing staff, and create initiatives to reach the stated key performance indicators.

The Director will be responsible for optimizing best-in-class development programs and experiences for Avadian professionals, including culture training, on-boarding, technical training, leadership programs, and individual learning avenues. The Director will use their expertise and passion to drive talent development, assess existing staff, and create initiatives to reach the stated key performance indicators.
Functions and Responsibilities:
- Create departmental business plans that impact overall Credit Union strategic goals.
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of branch PNLâs, income and expense reports, financial statements, deposit and loan trend reports, and other key performance indicators monthly; and adjust training plans and curriculum to meet stated goals and expectations at an organizational and branch/department level.
- Develop assessments that ascertain the level of understanding employees have in regard to both technical, social, and sales skills and how that affects the impact organizational culture has on Avadian members. Create a baseline scoring model of where employees score with technical skills.
- Define, develop, and deliver technical training across the organization to improve skillsets. In addition, continue to develop employees regarding technology.
- Play a key role in the development, implementation, and delivery of the Universal Employee model (Branch Experience Advocate) which includes the training, testing, branch choreography, and member presentation. In addition, work with other stakeholders to integrate the choreography with the Preferred Way of Selling Program.
- Responsible for leading projects through the various phases such as concept design, budgeting, executive stakeholder approval, project greenlighting, development execution, and launch dates.
- Create and implement a culture training program based on strategic objectives.
- Understand the personality and current âcultureâ of each branch and department including Culture Index profiles.
- Train and promote the Avadian WHY.
- Represent and promote Avadian in the communities we serve.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

- Must have the ability to organize thoughts with ease, communicate professionally and concisely, and have excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
- Must have the commitment to work hands-on and become actively involved in all aspects of functions managed.
- Must have the ability to plan and execute multiple projects while balancing department and organizational demands is a must.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years’ experience or progressively responsible business experience related to both individual and organizational performance improvement.
Education: Bachelor’s degree is required.
