Description
The Director of Operations is responsible for business procedures, customer relations, services delivery, business development and working with the Managing Partner to make operational decisions and contribute to the overall corporate performance through the following:
Duties to Include:
- Oversee all departments within the organization with a commitment to providing the highest level of support and quality
- Identify and target areas in which a business can improve operation
- Monitor revenue margins
- Research and implement new directives for business growth and prosperity
- Develop and implement guidelines for recruitment
- Prepare budgets, schedules, approve financial reports and other organizational reports as needed.
- Provide advice and guidance to other employees.
- Manage team leaders to ensure they are managing workloads of their staff in order to meet goals and deadlines.
- Develops plans to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Improves existing systems and policies
- Ensures customer requirements are met in a timely manner
- Promotes and enforces safety in the workplace
- Works closely with other departments to promote efficient factory optimization
- Identifies improvement areas and plans and implements systems to boost company effectiveness
- Specific duties may include contracts management, human resources management, procurement, data analysis, managing employees and directing work
Required Experience
- Knowledge and experience supporting government contracts
- Demonstrated organizational, leadership and analytical skills
- Excellent communications skills
- Demonstrated experience with government contracts
- Demonstrated experience with business development and sales
- Demonstrated experience with a wide variety of business functions, including procurement, human resources, customer service and program management¡
- BA or BS in business administration or a relevant, related field, or a BA or BS in another field and demonstrated business management experience
Preferred Experience
Familiar with managing information systems and information technology
Experience with supporting direct-to-consumer business
