Direct hire full-time Construction Project Manager seated at Tommy Car Wash Systems Holland MI, reporting to Tommy Car Wash Building Service Manager.


What You’ll Do:

  • Practice honesty and integrity in all facets of the company.

  • Monitor and have a thorough knowledge of the building and how it interacts with wash equipment.

  • Review all current construction processes / documentation to provide input and propose / implement improvements as necessary.

  • Study the interaction between Tommy, contractors, and tradesmen to identify inefficiencies and propose/implement improvements.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of Tommy’s “baseline” set of plans in many areas – documentation for collaboration with civil, architectural spec book, list of preferred contractors and trades by region, etc.

  • Responsible for creating a Tommy-specific Gantt chart that can be adapted by various regions throughout the country.

  • Collect suggestions from contractors regarding construction modifications and improvements.

  • Initially, partner with account managers to execute management of their projects – from attending a portion of pre and post-construction meetings to sitting on calls with contractors and trade partners, to conducting quality control site visits.

  • Longer-term (goal of within 1 year or whatever timeframe we collectively deem necessary), transition to more consistent customer facing role via management of on-going construction projects or supervision of account managers’ projects

  • Clearly delineate areas to be improved and outline a plan to resolve findings

What We Are Looking For:

  • Strong vendor relations skills

  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities

  • Thorough understanding of construction documentation

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, PDF Editors (Bluebeam)

  • Ability to manage remote workers and projects

  • Proficiency in reading construction documents

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Construction Management or related field of study required

  • 5-10 years of experience at construction, architectural, and/or engineering firm

  • Direct experience managing retail construction projects, franchise experience a plus

  • Proficient in business related technology

  • Available for travel 50% of the time

  • Commercial construction projects
