We are looking for our newAdministrator for the Ashley Medical Center! This individual is key incarrying out Ashley Medical Center’s mission on a daily basis and planning forthe future. He/she assumes overall responsibility for the organization incooperation with the Board of Directors and CHI St. Alexius Health. It is vitalthat this individual possess strong leadership skills, strategic vision,financial acumen, and the ability to motivate teams to achieve excellence. TheAdministrator is responsible for ensuring a responsive healthcare deliverysystem for the community and surrounding region as well as for managing theday-to-day operation of the facility.
Essential Responsibilities for this role include:
- Developing a management team and staff responsible for achieving the facility’s goals and objectives, and oversees the following areas of operation: 1. Community Relations 2. Risk Management 3. Quality Assurance 4. Utilization Monitoring 5. Planning and Marketing 6. Financial 7. Education
- Negotiating for improvement of facility building and equipment
- Promoting favorable public relations and quality of care
- Coordinating activities of reporting and medical staff, and assures appropriate policies and procedures are in place for the various facility activities
- Performing related administrative and supervisory duties to ensure the effective operation of the facility
- Acting as the chief representative of the facility’s position and philosophy to the community and outside groups and individuals
- Making decisions within the facility regarding hiring, promotion, dismissal, setting of local policy, and administering Ashley Medical Center policies and budgeting.
Qualification for this position include:
- A baccalaureate degree in business administration, public relations, social work with an emphasis on geriatrics or equivalent in experience in healthcare and leadership. A Masterâs degree in healthcare administration and / or business administration preferred.
- Nursing Home license desirable.
- A working knowledge of the fundamentals of healthcare organizations and administration standards.
- A minimum of 5 or more years of demonstrated successful leadership in a healthcare facility preferred.
- Able to get along well with others; demonstrated integrity, honesty and reliability, negotiation and team-building skills.
- Hours of Work: Primarily 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., however this position requires attendance at early morning and late evening meetings.
