ASSOCIATE DENTAL DIRECTOR
PIEDMONT HEALTH SERVICES

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting the Dental Director with the administration of the dental department. Serves as a member of the Dental
Management Team. Participates in financial planning, long range planning, dental program policy development and community and interagency relations
For the Dental Department. Serves as a practicing Dentist working in all Dental sites.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduate of the School of Dentistry recognized by the Council on Education American Dental Association. Licensed to practice dentistry in NC. A Masters degree in Health Administration or equivalent and experience as a Dentist in community health center.
Experience: Must have been a Dentist for at least 2 years Must have some leadership experience. Ability to work with and maintain the dental staff. Ability to recruit qualified dental staff. Ability to plan and evaluate patient care policies and dental quality assurance program. Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to supervise staff, resolve conflicts, evaluate performance and maintain focus on organizational goals

PATIENT POPULATION SERVED
Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric. Diverse patient population.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids. Exposure to conditions common to a clinic environment.
