Our competitors are Top Golf, Dave & Busters and Punch Bowl Social.

Guests throw axes at targets, footballs at bowling pins and baseballs at plates and participate in a live game show. We cater to corporate team building, birthday and bachelor/ette parties and family fun. This may be the most fun GM job you have ever had!

Each location has a full bar and can serve pizza and other items.

At the Columbus Axe Throwing, we are launching a new event called “The Blind Dinner Ninja Challenge” which is a Dinner in the Dark concept.

Summary

The Assistant General Manager is responsible for managing all operations of the entire facility which include the bar and competitive socializing activities. (The restaurant is ran by another company). You will be joining our current staff and helping us manage it all.

Position Details

The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Daily Operations

· Ensure the facility operates efficiently and effectively. You must have a sense of urgency to get things done.

· Analyze cost controls and develops programs or procedures to ensure that financial goals are met.

This includes;

· Manage operational expenses to maximize profit potential

· Insure that labor costs meet budgeted levels

* Monitor overall operations of the bars and games ensuring quality food and positive guest relations

· Answering emails to book private parties, hiring and training staff, keeping supplies and the product levels at an excellent status by reviewing the staff

Preparation of Food

· Ensure established safety standards for food and sanitation are maintained

· Ensure all listed food and beverage choices are made according to presented specifications

· Managing the purchasing, storage and handling of food products to ensure quality and freshness.

·

Marketing

· Develop initiatives to build sales, profitability and guest counts

· Support and implement all Company marketing programs

· Work with our marketing staff to implement local promotions and marketing plans

Staffing and Team Development

· Supervision of all staff, including hourly Teammates and salaried employees.

· Train, coach, and counsel all event and bar staff

· Maintain proper staffing levels to meet operational standards and labor budget goals

· Build a positive and motivating environment for all Teammates that is committed to delivering superior customer service and restaurant profitability

· Hire and conduct new hire orientations for hourly Teammates

· Ensure company policies and procedures are complied with and understood by Teammates

Compliance and Safety

· Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal laws and regulations

· Ensure all safety and security systems and procedures are followed to ensure health and safety of Teammates and guests

· Ensure all property and assets, including equipment, POS system, computers, inventory and building, are maintained and free from neglect, abuse, and /or theft

Position Requirements

Experience

· Applicable secondary education preferred, or a combination of education and previous related professional experience

· Three or more years of supervisory or management experience from a casual dining restaurant required as a general manager.

· Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license

· Must be able to function within and have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

· Must be flexible to work a variety of schedules to include nights, weekends and holidays

· NO CRIMINAL BACKGROUND

· Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with a broad range of individuals both within the company and externally

· Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

· Strong math and cash handling skills

· Ability to multi-task

· Ability to set clear priorities and see to it that they are followed

· Strong leadership, problem solving, and planning skills

· Ability to work in a self-directed mode

· Work well under pressure and be able to respond to continuously changing needs

Working Conditions

· Work is typically performed at the location

· Physical requirements include standing for long periods of time, withstanding temperature changes from the grill to freezer, use of POS systems and other general office equipment and frequent lifting up to 50

Salary

$40,000 – $46,000 Depending on Experience

– Currently there are no health benefits
– Two weeks vacation after 90 days
