The e-Commerce & Digital team at Neiman Marcus is looking for a visionary Vice President of Product Management for its Digital operations (e-Commerce, Digital Marketing, etc.). This role is a key leadership position within Neiman Marcus and will drive key digital initiatives within a fast-growing business at Neiman Marcus.

This Head of Product will set the vision for our e-commerce experience and serve as the leader of our digital product teams. This leader will combine a data-driven mindset, with an operational bias, with a deep understanding of our customers to create an omni-channel and omni-platform experience that seamlessly empowers our customers to engage with us however and whenever she wants.

This leader will play a key leadership role in a digital transformation for the brand and will have direct ownership of discovery, inspiration, evaluation and transaction experiences across all platforms. S(he) will manage a strategic roadmap, testing calendar and prioritization processes and will partner closely with Engineering , Creative, other product teams to deliver best-in-class shopping experiences and support rapid business growth.

This role requires strategic thinking, solid business acumen, and a passion for driving cross-functional execution to ensure overall product performance against key metrics. This individual will lead the product and dev teams in forming inspirational product ideas driven by customer needs and will translate these into executable product and technical roadmaps and will then execute them on time and on budget. The VP of Product Management will have outstanding and proven leadership skills with the ability to build and empower a vibrant and competitive team culture. .

The role is based in our Dallas headquarters and will report into the SVP of e-Commerce & Digital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire our engineering and product management teams in envisioning and building world-class products that will benefit and delight customers worldwide.
  • Be an advocate for customers and drive innovation on their behalf.
  • Plan and prioritize the product features and requirements from conceptual stages through product life cycles to optimize revenue and meet operational, financial, and corporate objectives.
  • Understand the thorough business case for proposed products and initiatives, including cost/benefit estimates, market trends, competitive analysis, risk analysis, industry best practices and product development timelines.
  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional product teams to form roadmaps in support of the strategic plans and customer needs and identify new opportunities for existing and new products.
  • Lead and collaborate on key architectural decisions and design considerations.
  • Drive successful project execution through robust project management and a refined stage gate process.
  • Track and manage key metrics like system costs, team performance and business KPIs.
  • Constantly remove organizational bottlenecks and scale issues as the team grows.
  • Ensure appropriate process to deliver industry benchmark in reliability and performance.
  • Ensure software engineering best practices are utilized and continuously evolved.
  • As a key product stakeholder, be willing to do what is required to help the team, and to deliver to plan.
  • Proven track record of being able to manage multiple projects in parallel and to deliver on plan
  • Ability to see multiple solutions to problems and choose the right one for the situation.
  • Ability to attract and retain top engineering talent.
  • Professional and positive approach, self-motivated, strong in building relationships, team player, dynamic, creative with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Present the vision, roadmap, key decisions and report on results to stakeholders across the organization, contextualizing reporting to key strategic and business priorities

Qualifications


Who We Are Looking For:

  • 15+ years of business experience, MBA preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, with a demonstrated growth in scope and responsibilities; 5+ years in consumer facing e-commerce experiences

  • 5+ of people management experience

  • Extensive experience building product roadmaps, writing detailed functional specifications, and delivering projects that meet rapidly evolving business needs.

  • Proven success implementing Agile software development methodologies, while establishing and maintaining pragmatic engineering best practices (e.g. code reviews, testing, continuous delivery).

  • Demonstrated experience introducing, teaching and using Agile Frameworks, Continuous Integration and Deployment methodologies in a customer-facing production environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain and develop internal and external relationships; collaborating across multiple business and technology functions, relationship-building and consensus building are essential

  • Strong leadership to inspire and motivate different audiences (levels and functions); demonstrated experience in mentoring and developing people beyond their functional roles and responsibilities .
