We are seeking a Vice President of Operations to select, design and implement services that support the overall mission of the organization. This position oversees successfully manages programs to benefit the organization and the community and collaborates with other leaders to integrate care. Responsibilities are to:

  • Provide leadership and oversight for assigned programs ensuring that they are current, competitive, within financial goals, and in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Function as a core member of the executive Operations team, actively involved in strategy, metrics, talent management, innovation, organizational improvement, and other overall application of strategic and tactical decision and activities.
  • Provide guidance, support and direction to team members to improve decision-making on active projects and initiatives to ensure adherence to organizational goals and objectives.
  • Act as a change leader in the organization to promote a healthy organizational culture.
  • Oversee all areas of assigned operations including developing and reviewing operating policies and procedures, directing their implementation and ensuring their effectiveness.
  • Manage the financial health of assigned operations including budget compliance, variance analysis, operational productivity and forecasting data to determine progress toward goals.
  • Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders in support of the Mission, Vision and Values of the organization.
  • Partner with Development to cultivate relationships and support donor relations and other giving opportunities.
  • Develop high performing leadership teams through ongoing coaching, mentoring, employee training and skills development.
  • Build and strengthen cross-functional teams to address and resolve client and program concerns while improving communication and workplace efficiencies.
  • Conduct duties in an unbiased manner in accordance with the agency’s mission statement and guiding principles by which all program participants, volunteers, and staff are treated equally regardless of race, gender, religion, age, physical and mental abilities and/or sexual orientation.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in management, human services, or related area.
  • Five years of leadership experience with demonstrated advancement in a related health services field.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in management or human services.
  • Ten years of leadership experience with demonstrated advancement at a nonprofit organization.
