The position:
CoEnterprise is seeking an experienced Vice President of People to join our executive team. As our VP of People, you will lead our People Operations and Recruiting. The ideal candidate will have strong people skills, business acumen, strategic insight and in-depth experience in Human Resources. This position will have a focus on cultivating and promoting our culture internally and externally as well as helping to shape our vision with our existing and prospective team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Culture & People – Drive a culture that personifies CoEnterprise’s vision and that rewards, promotes, and encourages high performance. Develop and deploy programs to cultivate our corporate vision and develop a positive, adaptive and accountable culture. Oversee People’s needs on an ongoing basis. This includes compensation, benefits, and perks. Advise the leadership team about people resource opportunities and risks. Be the advisor for employees seeking People-related guidance.
Recruiting & Compensation – Lead our recruiting efforts that drives growth that supports our overall business strategy. Partner with leadership in assessing recruiting needs that supports our growth and talent needs. Develop an overall recruiting and sourcing strategy and process that incorporates best practices for sourcing and interviewing that supports our high growth and cultivates our culture as well as the overall candidate experience.
Career – Educate, advise, and partner with company leaders to implement job competency models, career pathing, and employee engagement and retention programs. Own job descriptions and maintain geographic compensation scales. Lead the overall performance review process including assessments and outcomes.- Policy – Develop, recommend and implement Human Resource policies and procedures ensuring compliance to best practice and adherence to local and state laws. Maintain the company handbook and ensure proper review and acknowledgement.
- Benefits – Perform benefits administration including insurance, 401k, profit sharing and any other applicable individual employee benefit. Work closely with our benefits broker to ensure we are always offering the most attractive benefits package that is consistent with our company size, financial budgets and offers valuable choices to our people.
Payroll – Own the payroll function including all calculations for commissions and part time employees. Partner with Finance to adhere to all tax submissions and vendor requirements.
- 8+ years related experience in People Operations or Human Resources in a rapidly growing company.
- Outstanding communication skills including excellent presentation skills, computer, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Business Acumen
- Experience in Benefits administration
- Experience in Payroll administration
- SHRM-CP or SCP certification a plus
- Strong Leadership with the ability to manage change while ensuring alignment with strategic initiatives
- Strong understanding of Human Resources best practices
- Well versed in employment and business law
