Job Description:
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), the Vice President – Information Technology Applications will lead the development, maintenance, and implementation of all business applications at AAA – Northern California, Nevada, and Utah (AAA – NCNU) and its subsidiary organizations. This leader has experience supporting complex, matrixed organizations, is passionate about working collaboratively across business and IT functions to ensure applications meet the strategic needs of the Club, and will be key in providing the support necessary for AAA – NCNU to serve over 6 million Members.
Responsibilities:
- Leads the Data Operations, IT Engineering, and Agile teams by continually evaluating and improving the quality, cost, and execution of applications to support our Club’s day-to-day functions and future growth.
- Leads the migration to a cloud-first software strategy, using hosting providers such as GPC and Amazon Web Services, and SaaS applications such as Workday.
- Leverages proven industry models such as OWASP to ensure application data security; develops strategies to minimize application security flaws.
- Manages teams who run effective, impactful Agile SCRUM projects.
- Manages teams that utilize best practices such as DevOps or DevSecOps (preferred).
- Manage teams who design and build three-tier architectures.
- Leads the advancement of the Club’s application integration capability using best-of-breed platforms and approaches.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in IT and Applications positions.
- B.S. in Information Technology or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Expert in business and SaaS applications, as well as in-house applications hosted onsite.
- Able to lead exceptional teams who run impactful Agile projects.
- Adept at using secure coding practices and building security into the systems development lifecycle.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
- Passionate about working with others and about serving AAA – NCNU’s Members.
