Overview
Group O is searching for a Senior Operations Manager to join our team! This role has a potential fast track for Director of Operations!! The Senior Operations Manager oversees efforts by Group O’s Operations and Logistics to meet and exceed all goals and assists in maintaining all contractual SLA’s for our clients. Other responsibilities include: Conducting team meetings and one-on-one meetings with Managers and Supervisors. The SOM also needs to attend assigned client meetings; provide weekly performance results and business review updates on all outstanding initiatives; develop and implement goals and objectives, monitor results, identify problems, measure program effectiveness and refine goals, objectives and processes. The SOM will be expected to mediate employee issues or conflicts and ensure compliance with company and departmental policies. They will create incentive programs for operational employees and communicate changes with employees around commission and other compensation plans. The SOM will read trade pubs, complete continuous education courses, attend workshops, conferences, and seminars as necessary to broaden knowledge. They will be committed to and support Group O’s Quality Management System (QMS).
Responsibilities
- Drive performance of Operations and Warehousing to meet and exceed all internal goals as well as client SLA
- Conduct weekly team meeting and weekly one-on-one meetings with Supervisors
- Provide weekly performance results and business review updates on all outstanding initiatives
- Participate in external and internal Quality call calibration sessions
- Participate in client-facing interactions as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Ensure assigned departments meet safety, quality, production, customer goals (SLA) as defined by the customer and management.
- Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work area.
- Develop a team environment and promote a positive attitude within department. (Employee development to include evaluations and co-coordinating their training.)
- Employee hiring, dismissal, and disciplinary actions.
- Read and analyze various production schedules and reports to determine production requirements.
- Provide reports and metrics to Director of Operations, customer or designee.
- Confer with management, peers or subordinates to resolve employee issues.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for employees.
- Use resources effectively.
- Work with management on other assigned duties.
- Suggest modifications to established procedures to create best practices improve quality and reduce cost.
- Collaborate on RFP’s and new project quote build out
Additional Responsibilities:
- Interact with client directly in support of new channel initiatives or when communicating performance results
- Provide status and updates of Operations performance to senior leadership within Group O
- Work with departments such as Training and Quality, Client Services, WFA and IT to ensure all deliverables within the Operations department are completed and support is gained in needed areas
- Work with HR/Recruiting to devise action plans for sourcing new employees; provide support for interviews and offers
Qualifications
Experience:
-
Minimum 5 years Operations & Telecom Testing experience. Minimum 2 years Operational Management experience
Training:
-
Trained to traditional Operations KPIs and general operational practices
Skills:
-
Strong decision making, problem solving and personnel management skills
Education:
- Bachelor degree in Management, Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
