Primary Purpose:

The Sr. Director, IT and Reporting is responsible for the development, implementation, and optimization of the company’s data strategy including analytics, reporting, data governance and database and system management to meet the company’s current objectives and projected future needs.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor degree in an information technology related field.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years experience leading and developing information technology, data management and/or reporting in a managed-care setting.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working within the Medicaid environment.

Skills and Special Abilities:

  • Must have experience in creating dashboards for Key Performance Indicators.
  • Must have experience in Electronic Data Interchange.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creates, implements and enhances a data infrastructure (business intelligence architecture plan) of scalable and secure platforms to enable foundational analytics and reporting capabilities.
  • Assesses cost and feasibility of system requests and ensures that the business intelligence architecture plan supports both strategic and near term needs as well as compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
  • Collaborates with other leaders to define business requirements for new business information technologies and to identify key performance metrics.
  • Drives the adoption of business intelligence initiatives and strategies across the business by championing new and innovative techniques and approaches that will best utilize available data to answer key business questions.
  • Leads a team of Business Intelligence and Data Steward professionals in the design and execution of complex BI projects that influence key business decisions and data quality initiatives by enabling fact-based decision making and ad hoc analysis and insight generation.
  • Oversees the development and operations of data governance.
  • Enables management level dashboards and scorecards to drive informed decision making.
