Within VGBS, the Partnership & New Initiatives team drives growth by developing new partnerships, identifying new solutions, and solving for differentiated payment flows. These partnerships cover the small business arena, involving the most creative FinTech’s and key players in the space across accounting solutions, verticals, alt lending, and business applications. We are looking for the right candidate to join our dynamic team and contribute to our strategic growth.
The Senior Director of Small Business Partnerships & New Initiatives will need to be a creative thinker with an outstanding ability to craft solutions that are complex whilst building real market differentiation for Visa. The role requires an ability to work in ambiguity in a matrix environment, influencing internally as well as externally to craft these ‘market firsts’ with Visa partners:

  • Strategically seek out opportunities: Work with your partners to identify new solutions that can meet their needs and opportunities to expand payment flows within their ecosystem.

Qualifications

 Basic Qualifications
12 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree
10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD)
or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

 Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive responsibilities and business experience.
  • Previous experience working in technology, FinTech, and B2B payments
  • Global or multi-national business experience strongly preferred
  • Strong academic credentials, with relevant degree in Finance/Business
  • Must be team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible
  • Excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities
  • Experience and knowledge of the cards and payments industry
  • Analytical skills with ability to solve complex problems and execute on solutions
  • High degree of proficiency in PowerPoint to build succinct messaging from peers to executives
  • Proficiency in Excel to support budgets and business models
  • Excellent project management skills, comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day to day activities
  • Relationship management skills
  • Experience in presenting ideas and thoughts to senior level leaders
  • The ability to understand multi-dimensional business problems and develop innovative and practical solutions to deliver superior business results
  • Proven skills in translating analytics output to actionable recommendations, and delivery

Additional Information

 Essential Functions

  • Evidence of strong client engagement skills and the ability to creatively provide solutions and recommendations across Visa products to help grow the partnership accounts
  • Strategically drive thought leadership to propel the partner forward and add value to their business model and engagement with Visa
  • Manages and supports partner engagement strategies and account plans with key focus on driving growth and market expansion
  • Reconciles account plans with actual financial performance on a monthly basis and prepares regular management reports on results
  • Builds and maintains strong and timely dashboards to contribute to the analysis of performance on key metrics to identify areas of focus/opportunity/growth and profitability
  • Applies analytics to business problems, interpreting and distributing results
  • Contributes to maintain a robust control environment in terms of data protection, quality standards, compliance with benchmarking and disclosure rules

 Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
