Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana is seeking a Program Director for our Indianapolis Turing Point Program.

Turning Point Recovery Center is a residential additions treatment program for men and women involved in the Criminal Justice System. Through this program, clients are offered the opportunity to address their addiction through treatment rather than face incarceration in response to their struggles with sobriety. The program uses an individualized and comprehensive approach to treatment and accepts referrals for clients involved in the Criminal Justice System. Our residential treatment provides 24/7 support to clients.

The Program Director of Turning Point Recovery Center is responsible for assuring that the quality of clinical and residential services are maintained. This position provides individual and group supervision of clinicians, case managers, and direct services personnel. This Program Director is also responsible for collaborating with the Behavioral Health team. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate clinical records to meet agency, DCS, CARF, DMHA, and billing standards.

Key Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Oversee development and operations of residential addictions programming for criminal-justice involved individuals
  • Serve as outreach and service coordinator between Volunteers of America and Marion County Community Corrections, Indiana Department of Corrections, and other referral sources
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community referral sources, such as courts and judges
  • Work with Therapists, Case Managers, and Operations Supervisor(s)/Lead Residential Monitors to assist direct care staff in planning and facilitating daily activity, educational, life skills, trauma, and cognitive-behavioral groups as needed
  • Provide on-call crisis support for staff as needs arise

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or related human services field
  • Two years of leadership experience
  • Ability to conduct individual and group interventions, assess needs, make referrals, develop resources, and maintain good records
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
