Job Summary:
Plans, directs, and oversees the operational activities of Nicklaus Childrenâs Hospital. Guides the operations so that quality care is provided to all patients on a sound economic basis in accordance with the philosophy, standards, and policies of the Hospital.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Masterâs degree in Business or Healthcare Administration required.
- Previous work in the area of responsibility.
- Minimum of five years in supervisory or hospital administrative position.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Coordinates and approves the formulation and evaluation of patient care programs, policies and procedures, and standards of care which ensures the needs of patients are assessed, evaluated, and met. Ensures other clinical and administrative groups are involved as appropriate.
- Coordinates operational activities with all other departments, physicians, and disciplines within the hospital through informal and formal channels.
- Coordinates operational functions with the community’s activities through participation in community activities, and analysis of community needs.
- Ensures an active performance improvement program whereby operations related issues.
- Hospital senior management and the medical staff are developing the hospital mission, vision, value statement, strategic plans, and policies.
- Keeps informed of events in the national and local professional organizations, in the related hospital disciplines, and in the community that affect the operation and delivery of pediatric health services.
- Participates and coordinates respective clinical service lines ensuring quality and economic levels of care with quality outcomes through the development of outcome basis of clinical pathways.
- Participates in hospital-wide decision making with the Board of Directors along with other.
- Plans and develops the philosophy, standards, goals, and objectives for the hospital, based on the stated mission, vision, value statement, and strategic plan of the hospital.
- Plans for current and future needs of the hospital through an organized, analytical system of forecasting needs for personnel, facilities, and economic resources.
