The Senior Manager, Management & Technology Advisory Services (MTAS) works under the authority of the MTAS National Practice Leader and MTAS Partner, and is primarily responsible for:

  • Manages teams of professionals through all potential project stages of diagnostic, planning, solution design and solution delivery to include managing engagement economics, accurate status reporting, quality control and legal risks to the Firm.
  • Supports sold engagements as well as aids in the creation of service line methodologies and sales support materials by working with the leadership team and existing business development team. Service elements will include IT Strategy and Governance; Enterprise Architecture; Information Lifecycle Management; Service Management & Service Delivery; Data Center Operations; Server and Desktop Virtualization; SharePoint; and other Network, Computer and Server technologies
  • Manages all aspects of client pursuits and advice to the practice leadership, professional development, thought leadership and business development including all phases of the client proposal process
  • Assists with sales and relationship management of new and existing Advisory clients, and performs engagements completely and in accordance with recognized standards or policies of the Partnership and the terms of the engagements themselves.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree, required

Experience:

  • Experience in a Big-4 consulting firm, boutique technology consulting group, or with a Fortune 500 organization, with a demonstrated mastery of the subject matter along with a strong aptitude for program development, execution, business development and leadership, preferred.
  • Ten (10) or more years total information technology experience required and experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects, preferred
  • Five (5) or more years professional services / consulting experience, required
  • Three (3) or more years of policy, procedure and program development, preferred
  • Experience with creating and delivering analysis findings reports to legal, information technology and executive audiences, required. In addition, candidates should expect public speaking obligations.

License(s)/Certification(s)

  • Professional certifications in the following areas, preferred:
  • ITIL
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Oracle IT Architecture R3 Certified Architecture Specialist
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate or higher (CCNA, CCNP, CCNE, CCAr)

Language/ Software:

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Power Point, preferred

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong project management skills and solid understanding and capable of planning and coordinating all stages of advisory services methodology
  • Proven leadership, strong initiative, high energy, excellent organization skills, and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Creative problem-solving ability and a consultancy mindset
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to write at a “publication” quality level in order to communicate findings and recommendations to the client’s senior management team
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to gain the confidence and respect of senior executives
  • Knowledge of process documentation and mapping, as well as procedure development
  • Capable of resolving complex business issues and proactive problem solving
  • Capacity to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and client personnel
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, specifically business and report writing
  • Ability to prepare for and run an executive working session and/or progress/status meeting
  • Ability to adapt style and messaging to effectively communicate with professionals at all levels both within the client organization and the Firm
  • Ability to manage diverse and/or cross functional teams
  • Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently and within a group environment
  • Ability to collaborate with partners and managers within all service lines and industries
  • Ability to estimate effort and formulate fee estimates for project work plans
  • Ability to develop action complex performance improvement roadmaps and resource plans
  • Strong client services orientation and the ability to take an active role in executing engagement. Up to 15% travel may be required
