South Pole is strengthening its growth in corporate climate solutions by hiring a Marketing Director in North America. In close collaboration with the local Business Development Team, you will oversee the way in which we approach our corporate clients in terms of positioning the company and showcasing our solutions. Drawing on the specialised resources of the global South Pole Communication & Marketing team of experts, you will strengthen our brand positioning and multiply our impact in the corporate world in North America. The Marketing Director – North America will report directly to Director Marketing Corporate Climate Solutions and also work closely with the Global Communications Director.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Creating & executing our marketing strategy forNorth America Tailoring South Pole’s global communications and marketing to our North American audience
- Raising awareness of both our brand and our clients to the ‘next level” or further!
- Participating in leading conferences, forums and publishing thought leadership pieces to ensure South Pole become the preferred and trusted partner for corporate climate solutions in North America
- Working closely with the Business Development team – leading assistance where required and creating new content for pitches and proposals
- Working closely with the consultancy team on final deliverables
- Leveraging your own network across North America to scale your marketing impact and ability to drive further business to the BD team
- Design and implement events and campaigns tailored to the US market to generate new leads
- Lead South Pole support of North American Client’s marketing needs in collaboration with the global marketing team.
- Find collaborative approaches to leverage North American clients and case studies through, but not limited to: Joint press releases, Co sponsored Events, Marketing Campaigns, Co authored thought leadership pieces, etc.
Your profile
- You must be a passionate, motivated sustainability professional
- A minimum Master’s degree, preferably in sustainability-related disciplines
- At least 10 years of relevant marketing and/or business development work experience in consultancy or other client-service based environment
- Experience in the development of marketing strategies
- Commercial skills and good business sense to be able to identify and seize opportunities in a challenging and competitive market environment
- Demonstrated ability to work under deadlines and with multidisciplinary teams and independently with limited guidance
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience in team management, ideally within an international and multicultural context, including experience in hiring and developing a top-performing team, as well as coaching and mentorship experience
- Experience with budget development and management
- Excellent oral and written command of English
- Work authorization for the US
