Sodexo is currently seeking a Lead Cloud Project Manager tomanage projects related to transforming on-premise hosting solutions to Cloud hosted primarily in Microsoft Azure. Facilitate a group of IT professionals to develop project goals, set clear objectives, create a roadmap to the cloud and implement systems in Microsoft Azure as part of a build team. Assemble project teams, identify resource needs, assign responsibilities, develop schedules for timely task completion and track project expenses against budget. Establish a methodology for performing effective discovery of current state of inventory, datacenters, networks, applications, dependencies, interfaces, automation, etc. Establish an approach for assessing current state, defining target state and roadmap to achieve the specified goal of migration to Azure. This role will be based in Cheektowaga, NY.

About this position:

  • Create formal and frequent project status communications in executive dashboard format

  • Coordinate project team meetings, produce clear, effective and timely meeting agenda’s, minutes and task lists with clear objectives and accountabilities

  • Assist in developing an assessment process to identify gaps to standards and plans to align and standardize to established standards and methods

  • Proven ability to lead project teams including the facilitation of work sessions to plan and implement complex initiatives

  • Proven ability to engage a diverse group of subject matter experts to work effectively and to produce quality results

  • Strong knowledge and experience managing projects for system implementations in an IT Operations and Infrastructure environment

  • Experience managing projects and improving processes as they relate to a transformation from on-premise to Cloud hosted solutions

  • Must be familiar with typical IT Operations and Infrastructure roles, responsibilities, services, terminology and technologies

  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, tasks and issues resolution activities

  • Strong knowledge of IT quality assurance methods and process controls

  • Proven and sophisticated ability to document complex plans, timelines, processes, proposals

  • Experience working with a senior management team in a fast-paced environment and reporting out via executive summaries and project dashboards

  • Must be able to produce a portfolio of documents that demonstrate actual experience in managing the typical aspects of large complex projects and process improvement initiatives.

  • BS in Computer Science or MIS, or equivalent experience

  • Microsoft Azure experience referred but not necessary

  • 7+ years of experience in Project Management of Technical and Infrastructure Services

  • 3+ Years of experience with designing and implementing effective technology processes

  • International experience a plus, ability to speak fluent English a must, Portuguese and/or not necessary but would be a plus

  • Must be willing to adjust to early and or late business meetings to adjust for interacting with colleagues or partners across time zones

Travel

  • Must have current passport and be willing and able to travel internationally

Typically has specialization in particular software or business application utilized in an end user environment. Keeps abreast of technological developments and applications.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement – Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience – 5 years

Basic Functional Experience – 5 years of experience in database and systems architecture
