The Role:
Morning Consult is looking for a Head of Spaces and Facilities to lead the company’s office operations, IT, and facilities functions. Specifically, those in this role will be responsible for maintaining efficient operations at multiple distributed offices and helping to ensure that our 150+ employees feel safe, supported, and productive. This might include serving as point for lease negotiations, managing office renovations and build-outs, or working with outside vendors improve the functionality and design of existing workspaces.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate a relentless attention to detail, the organizational skills to simultaneously drive multiple initiatives, and a services-oriented attitude that delights in solving their colleagues’ problems. Moreover, as a rapidly growing start-up, success in this role requires a flexible, pragmatic approach to problem solving, and the ability to pivot quickly from project to the next.

This role is an exciting opportunity for candidates who are passionate about owning and developing the employee experience as Morning Consult continues to scale, from systems and processes to office expansions and IT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own Morning Consult long-term space planning, including managing current building leases, partnering on headcount expansion, and leading negotiations for future spaces
  • Lead a team of office operations and IT professionals, ensuring industry-leading overall employee experience
  • Ensure office and employee events are seamlessly executed with minimal disruption to existing staff productivity and operations
  • Drive security and compliance within all operational and IT systems, including creating policies and procedures to drive greater effectiveness
  • Own accessibility, disaster recovery, emergency preparedness, and business continuity planning within all Morning Consult facilities
  • Advise office operations and IT budgets, including planning & reconciliation
  • Contribute to company engagement and perk strategy to drive employee engagement
  • Partner with the Executive Office team to assist in special projects

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 8+ years of office operations, event or other related experience
  • Employee focus mentality with exceptional attention to detail and organization skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to consistently and positively contribute in a high-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage self to goals and deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork and organizational skills
