General Manager

Position: General Manager

Schedule: Full-time,Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm

Pay Scale: $70,000 per annum, plus performance bonus

Position Overview

Since 1999, BioHealth has provided laboratory services to thousands of customers worldwide. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a General Manager. In this role, you will be self-motivated and take ownership of a well-established scientific laboratory in Torrance. This opportunity is available immediately for the right candidate.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise, motivate and develop all staff ranging from technical to admin personnel.
• Liaise with all company consultants to coordinate time, need and contribution. Consultants include, IT, Clinical Advisors, Marketing, Laboratory Director, Financial contributors and others.
• Support laboratory development projects by applying project management, prioritization and resource allocation awareness.
• Strong entrepreneurial mind-set and ability to operate effectively within a cash-limited environment.
• Demonstrated success operating add developing a small business.
• Strategic awareness and ability to ensure flexibility for the growth and needs of the organization.
• Ability to execute on and develop strategic growth tactics.
• Interest and awareness in bioinformatics and cyber technology.
• Proactively gain knowledge of offered products and services, as well as standard operating procedures, in order to assist potential customers, staff and consultants in business and problem-solving needs.
• Ensure visibility and effective level of communication with off-site principals.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements for Success in this Role

• BA in Business Management
• Daily commuting distance to Torrance
• Committed to a high standard of integrity and work ethics
• Extremely organized and manage your time effectively to complete daily duties
• Capacity for creative destruction
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and QuickBooks
• A high-energy, positive attitude and a sincere desire to help others
• Exercising discretion and confidentiality with sensitive client and company information
• Excellent attendance and reliability a MUST
