Fixed-term or tenure track faculty position (at the title or rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor) for a Board Certified Family Physician or Internal Medicine Physician with additional qualifications in Geriatrics for the primary purposes of teaching family medicine residents, geriatric fellows and medical students; and providing care to the geriatric population. The Geriatric Division director is responsible for the leadership of the geriatric division and geriatric center, as well as the management of faculty, staff, and fellows. They are responsible for the management and growth of the geriatric fellowship, the geriatric clinic, the teaching nursing home as well as significant grant projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
MD or DO from an appropriately accredited institution CAQ in Geriatrics Board Certified Family Medicine Physician or Internal Medicine Physician (American Board of Medical Specialties) Licensed in North Carolina or license eligible Collaborative (including interdepartmental) relationship building and maintenance skills Refined analytical and critical thinking skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Qualifying degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions and conferred by the time of hire.
