DESCRIPTION:
Manage casting process (from scouting out new and emerging talent) to supervising casting of series regulars and guests roles for scripted television and supervising the casting of hosts and contestants for unscripted television.
- Cultivate strong relationships with industry agents, managers and talent in the scripted and unscripted tv space.
- Collaborate with CBS executives (both in casting and other department executives) as well as casting directors working on CBS shows on talent pipeline, development and retention.
- Remain up to date on trends on network and competitors.
- Partner with department stakeholders on the CBS Diversity Showcase as well as diversity initiatives across the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong, established relationships with agents and managers.
- Demonstrated familiarity with the casting process (breakdowns, availabilities, audition technique, taping and uploading clips).
- An interest in communicating with actors and nurturing talent.
- Demonstrated multitasking skills.
- Creative and collaborative mindset for identifying opportunities and solving problems.
- Strong producing skills in order to cast proper talent.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent follow-through.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing projects to meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills to create and maintain positive and effective working relationship.
