Hollis Cobb is looking for a sharp, energetic, personable Director of Operations that analytical and a strategic thinker to join our Insurance Follow up and Pre-Registration Department at our Corporate Headquarters located in Duluth, GA.

The Director of Operations for Early Out organizes, monitors, and maintains the daily operational functions of our Insurance Follow up and Pre-Registration Department including but not limited to; the supervising of managers, supervisors, and their employees, coordinating performance improvement activities, and productivity management to ensure our business targets are met and exceeded.

Having working knowledge of the various Insurance Payers/providers and Patient Access Pre-Registration is a must. The ideal candidate is one who demonstrates experience in staff motivation to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction and meeting the organizations goals for customer service and financial performance. This position will ensure their departments adhere to the company’s policies and procedures, will work to continuously improve employee engagement as well as the quality of work performed and instill professional growth within our teams.

The Director of Operations will also work with Senior Management to set strategic direction and make tactical adjustments. They must be able to evaluate metrics to identify trends and patterns as well as improve and make processes more efficient.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor, track, and analyze trends to identify strategic business opportunities
  • Verify Insurance Follow up and Pre-Registration and Patient Access process controls and assess their effectiveness in mitigating operational risks
  • Partner with business leaders inside and outside the company to identify best practices that can be leveraged to improve operational efficiency and optimize results of collections and recovery efforts
  • Recruit, train, and develop Managers and staff to perform at best-in-class standards and create an environment of achievement and accountability that cultivates success
  • Effectively communicate across all levels of management

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Demonstrated industry experience in the healthcare revenue cycle market
  • Competitive and goal driven; able to motivate teams
  • Working knowledge of the FDCPA, HIPAA and how they fit within the revenue management cycle
  • Experience with 1500 and UB claims; including paper and electronic means
  • Knowledge of claims and denials for all insurance payers ( Medicare, Medicaid, and other commercial payers HMO, PPO)
  • Experience with the following Specialties is a plus: Gastro, Urology, ECHO, Radiology, Surgery, Out Patient procedures, Vascular, Interventional Radiology, Orthopedics, Pain Medicine, Oral Surgery
  • Able to clearly communicate goals and direction while focusing on the needs of multiple clients
  • The ability to manage a large about of data, and deliver an informative, relevant message from its content
  • Sensitivity to our client’s needs and matching our performance to deliver results
  • Previous experience working with medical collections or major hospital systems such as Epic, Star, Sorrian etc
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail is required
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point software as well as reporting skills and data mining experience
  • Bi-lingual is a plus but not required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
  • 4+ plus years of Insurance Follow up Management and Pre-Registration experience is required
  • 2+ plus years experience Directing a team of Floor managers within a call center environment is preferred
