Director of Operations- Finance & Technology
We are looking for the ideal person to lead our agency’s long-term financial objectives, oversee day to day finance activities and our technology needs. This position is responsible for financial compliance and an annual agency operating budget of approximately $9.0 million. This person has integrity, creativity, and a passion for our mission and core values. The leader we seek has non-profit grants management experience, is highly motivated & organized, with critical thinking skills and the ability to problem-solve. This person will work collaboratively with agency leaders in a supportive, energized work environment and will lead a motivated team of staff to meet agency goals.
*Salary range $61,100-$100,600 (commensurate with experience/ qualifications) & excellent benefits
Primary Responsibilities:
*Develops and maintains an internal reporting system and account structure that ensures proper disclosure and accountability for all financial activities, including compliance with Office of Management and Budget’s (OMB) guidance.
*Develops and maintains an internal control framework to mitigate and protect against fraud, waste and abuse.
*Ensures timely and accurate financial materials and reports, including monthly financial statements for the Executive Director, management staff and the Board of Directors.
*Oversees cash flow management through use of projections of cash receipts and cash disbursements and maintains an adequate cash balance to meet financial obligations.
*Supervise staff in administrative finance and technology department.
*Develops various financial projections and other analyses including debt reduction, investment planning and revenue forecasting.
*Secures and oversees appropriate insurance coverage for the agency; including property, general liability, automobile, employment practices, pollution, cyber coverage, etc.
*Provide input for agency strategic planning and goal setting; align department goals to achieve the agency’s overall mission and champion efforts for ongoing achievement of agency goals.
Qualities & Qualifications:
* A combination of a four (4) year Accounting degree and six (6) years’ experience including a full range of accounting, administration, budgets, supervision, program management, planning and financial management or a combination of ten (10) years’ experience and education.
*Experience in grants management fund accounting, strong budget creation and monitoring abilities, familiarity with external auditing processes and requirements.
*Strong leadership and managerial skills to supervise and motivate a team.
*Excellent organizational, process, analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Strong technology skills including Microsoft Office Suite and fiscal software, excellent written/verbal communication skills.
