TITLE: Director of Operations

REPORTS TO: COO

DIRECT REPORTS: General Manager of each location, Administrative Systems Manager

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

TRAVEL: Frequent visits to each location

Acts as a Color Factory brand ambassador reflective of the company’s values, practices, and aesthetic. Works closely with the Director of Facilities & Logistics and the Director of People & Culture to assure consistency in company culture, visual presentation and guest experience across all locations.

EXPECTATIONS

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Oversee daily operations of all Color Factory locations

  • Assure that corporate standards in guest experience, personnel management, aesthetics, and all other aspects of the daily operations of each location are upheld

  • Help assure cultural continuity across all locations

  • Remain close to on-site operations through regular check-ins

  • Triage and elevate serious issues as needed

  • Stay on top of trends in guest reviews and react as needed

  • Directly manage, coach and oversee General Manager of each location

  • Direct each General Manager’s on-site implementation of operational practices and procedures

  • Support management of each location with extraneous issues

  • Regular talent review meeting with each location, discuss rising stars, advancement and people issues

  • Be intimately familiar with the leadership teams and floor operations of every location

  • Foster a culture of strong communication and teamwork

  • Work closely with the Director of Facilities & Logistics and the Director of People & Culture

  • Execute regular leadership and staff trainings in partnership with the People team

  • Collaborate on implementation and improvement of programs that affect operations

  • Support and facilitate the Facilities team’s planning and execution of extended location resets, rebuilds, renovations, and maintenance

  • Share local observations and make plans to address immediate issues (people, facilities, processes)

  • Assist in the creation of policies and best practices to address long-term issues (people, facilities, processes)

Oversee all gift shop operations, merchandising, and retail practices

Oversee statistical reporting for all operational functions (i.e., ShowClix scans; third-party ticket scans; photo station stats; gift shops stats; Coatchex stats)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of relevant leadership experience in a demanding, high-volume environment with a large team

  • Must have strong assessment, decision-making, written and verbal communication skills.

  • Extensive experience in mediation and effective conflict resolution.

  • Must convey ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality

  • Ability to travel frequently
